1 - Privacy and Data

When you book on a course with Flatpack coders you agree to our privacy policy, available at https://flatpackcoders.com/privacy
Depending on the course that you have signed up to, you may be required to sign up for an account with us. When you do you must ensure that your details are accurate. In the event that your information change you need to keep them up to date using the 'my account' section.

2 - Student Conduct

You agree to abide by the student code of conduct. In most cases this will be provided to you but is also available here: https://flatpackcoders.com/student-code-of-conduct

3 - Money Back Guarantee
​
Many of our courses come with a money back guarantee of anywhere between 1 and 14 days. This will be made clear to you at the point of purchase. In the event that you wish to cancel your contract with us and receive a full refund you are entitled to do so simply by requesting this from your tutor, or by emailing info@flatpackcoders.com.

You have the number of days from date of purchase to contact us and receive a full refund of any course fees paid.
For example if your course has a 14 day money back guarantee, payment was taken on the 1st of the month, you must contact us before 11:59 on the 15th of that same month.

Please note that you will lose access immediately to any Flatpack Coders services, services, sites, platforms, and third party tools administered by us or included as part of your service with us.

4 - Payment options
We offer a variety of payment options at Flatpack coders.
For those wishing to pay by credit and debit cards for our pay in 1 option we, like millions of other businesses, use Stripe to administer these payments to ensure your details are kept secure. Flatpack Coders do not record any of your payment details.

For those paying monthly we use GoCardless to administer secure direct debit transactions. This again ensures that your payment details are kept secure. Read more here: https://gocardless.com/

5 - Non-Payment
For those paying monthly GoCardless will attempt to take payment each month from the date that you initiated the payment. In the event that this was unsuccessful they will further attempts. If there are multiple failed attempts we reserve the right to remove or limit your access to all Flatpack Coders services, sites, platforms, and third party tools administered by us or included as part of your service with us.

For those paying in full full payment will be taken at the point of purchase. In the event that this payment is returned to you or a payment dispute is raised we reserve the right to remove or limit your access to all Flatpack Coders services, sites, platforms, and third party tools administered by us or included as part of your service with us.

6 - Included support sessions and meetings
Many of our courses include dedicated 1-1 sessions. It is your responsibility to book these using the tools provided to you by us.
​
Your course will come with a specified number of meeting credits. Unless otherwise specified, these credits expire 1 year after the start date of your course. These credits are non transferrable between students.
For example our Full stack course with weekly support comes with 52 meeting credits allowing you to book in up to 1 support session per week for a whole year.

Please note that punctuality is paramount when attending booked sessions. Your instructor will wait for 15 minutes for you to turn up before leaving the meeting. You will not be entitled to a refund, reschedule, or extra time if you turn up late or not at all.
​
It is worth noting that credits are only used if you book a scheduled meeting with your instructor. If for example your instructor invites you to drop into a quick face to face support session then no credits will be used.
​
We currently do not have a system allowing you to view your available credits, we recommend keeping track of these in a calendar, or feel free to reach out to your tutor who will let you know.
​
7- Deferrals and Withdrawals
Generally speaking we do not allow deferrals and withdrawals usually incur no refunds. However we understand that sometimes things happen that are outside of your control. For example if you are no longer able to partake in the course due to medical reasons, or if continuing the course would put you in significant financial hardship we are happy to work with you to come to a resolution that works for you.

Some of the possible resolutions are below:
- Pausing the course and payments for an agreed number of weeks
- Withdrawing from the course with a partial refund dependant on how much of the course has been completed.
- Splitting the payments further e.g. weekly rather than monthly.
Please be aware that we may require proof as part of deciding a resolution.
For the purposes of these terms please understand that this is at our discretion however we are always here to support and help you as best we can so make sure you reach out to us.
